Atlas has been an upholstery workshop on Boulevard Cavendish in Montréal since 1967 — cushions and seating are the core of what we do. What sets our model apart is where the work happens: all cushion work is done at our workshop, never on-site, because cutting foam accurately, sewing covers and templating each pew need a clean cutting table and industrial machines. We measure or collect your pews, build the cushions, and deliver them back — and if the frames also need repair or the wood needs refinishing, we handle those in the same visit.

Padded back cushions add comfort to long services and soften hard wooden backs. We match the seat cushions in fabric and finish so the pew reads as one piece.
New high-density foam
Flat, hard cushions are usually collapsed foam. We re-core with new high-density foam that holds its shape and comfort under the constant use a church puts on its seating — not the soft foam that flattens within a year.
Durable, cleanable covers
We recover in commercial-grade upholstery fabrics and vinyls that resist wear and clean up easily. We help you choose a colour and material that suit your sanctuary, confirmed with samples before we build.
Kneeler pads
Kneeler pads take constant use and are among the most common church items we recover. We rebuild the padding and recover them to match the pews.

2. Templating or pickup
For cushions alone we can often template each pew so only the cushions travel. For full reupholstery we collect your pews from anywhere in Canada. Larger sanctuaries are scheduled in batches so your congregation is never left without seating.
3. Built in the workshop
Foam is cut accurately, covers are sewn on industrial machines, and each cushion is built to fit its pew. Our clean cutting tables and machines are what make cushions that fit correctly and last, not sag or slip.
4. Delivery back to your sanctuary
Finished cushions and pews are delivered back and fitted to your schedule. You get a realistic timeline with the estimate — not after — and honest advice at every step.

Because foam offcuts, thread and fitting stay at our shop, your sanctuary stays clean and usable. We work in batches and around your calendar, so services continue while your cushions are being made.
